After teasing the first ever "Bluegrass Congress" for DelFest 2018 earlier this week (images below), I was ready to sit back and wait a few more weeks before the first round of the always-stellar DelFest lineup announcement was made (to give you an idea, the 2017 lineup was announced on January 18th, and the 2016 lineup was announced January 28th the previous year). And to be clear, this is one of those festivals that can get away with announcing the lineup a little later than others - it's just that good. In years past, many of the upgraded tickets actually sell out prior to any bands being announced.
Well, much to my surprise, I didn't have to wait very long to get a taste of what the 11th annual DelFest has in store for us over Memorial Day Weekend 2018. Christmas came a little early this year, folks! Please enjoy the initial lineup for DelFest 2018, and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below.
